Hi all you bagheera experts! :-D
I have a serious dilema( again) , it turns out that the inlet and the carb that I dismounted from my baggy belongs to simca 1118cc engine. Is there some easy way I can determine the capacity of the engine?? ( exept measuring bore and stroke ;) )

And do all the capacities have the same sized inlet and outlet ports??

hello :D , you have a number under the two central candles which will give you the capacity of the engine...if i have correctly understand your question

407 028 = 1442 cm3

407 029 = 1592 cm3

I was also wondering if it's some kind of version for south europe, or some dealer's mod, look at the bagheera of PEPO - it has the same SOLEX carb as mine had, coincidence??

that solex is put on machine ex boss of bagheera, but it isn't original,original is in trunk...see movie.

I guess the previous owner of my car had the same idea, probably to reduce fuel consumtion( sic ) . My car was also desecrated with a primitive LPG instalation ](*,) so the poor baggy suffered a lot, luckily it's in good hands now .
