Alfa V6... only in a murène 2.2. But if you want to be the first to try, why not but expect to have to cut the petrol tank and potentialy to change the full suspension system. 206 Gti or 405 Mi16... Maybe Lars will make his coming out and show his excelent work ![]() |

The maximum I've heard about an engine of this familly was a Simca Rallye build by Marcel Maurel 312 pk from a 1140 cc engine. Are you sure you want to try ?? |

A related question. Is there a modified camshaft available ? I will be back with a 1000 km report on the bagh that I got back on the road but one thing is that I feel that it has its maximum torque at fairly low rew. Makes it very relaxed to drive but not that sporty. Carburation and exhaust should allow it a bit more grunt at top rews and someone must have done that in the past. Any info and ideas ? Regards, Stig |

Feel strange ?? By the way Stig, since this 312 pk Simca Rallye was developped to be raced in Sweden, does it still exist there ? |

I thinks about to keep 1442 cc in bagheera and only make some modification to get more power.Like:,other carburetor, enlarge and polish intake and outtake channel, new biger valve, make CAI-cold air intake to air filter,4-1 exhost, lighten fly wheel and crankshaft....Power?from 90 hp to approximately 110 hp?Who has done that here? |

I did. ![]() With a 1590 cc basis. Let me comment. - other carburetor, Either you keep the look or you go for DCOE 40. These will surely give a bit more power. But they are not given. I'm currently helping a friend (not Matra) to find a pair and $$$ ! - enlarge and polish intake and outtake channel 1) Don't touch the outake channels. 2) Be carefull for what you do with the intake channels. The walls are very very thin and you risk to go through the cam follower holes - new biger valve I didn't do it. Not possible to fit much bigger valves if you don't touch the valves guides. That's lot of extra work Anyway you have to change the valves guides but how can this be achieved ? 1) Either you find valves guides with excentered holes (yes, this exist) and you fit them with the good angle to put the valves more away of each others 2) You drill new, larger holes for the valve guides that will be thicker and further away. - make CAI-cold air intake to air filter Did you realized that the engine is at the back ? Not easy if possible - 4-1 exhost I already tried to explain lots of times that 4 into 1, correctly tuned might get the most power but ... this only at a given revs. A 4-2-1 would enlarge the power curve, which would suite more the car. Anyway, due to the space constrains, developping it will not be easy at all. - lighten fly wheel and crankshaft. Leave the crank in peace. Didn't you forgot the most important item ? The camshaft... |

Ok, thanks on quick answer, your advice is gracefuly. Your engine 1.6 is from murena and you put it in bagh.?How many power do you got now, approximately? DCOE 40 will fitt on original intake box without any modification? Camshaft?from witch engine can fit in 1442? This is OT but never mind... Did someone buy GOTTI or PLS wheel here? What is weight of these wheel? What about THE SERVICE BOOK that aemiac or someone selling,is it on english or france language, what are contents? How can I buy it? I have also simca 1005 LS,want to be original except engine, now is 944cc and want 1294cc,I have some question about it so can I put here or on PM. |

Hi Bagheera.be, I don´t know if the Simca Rallye still exists. Do you have any pics or maybe even the name of a driver / owner ? We only have 4 Simca 1100 Ti left in Sweden but it is probably not one of those. Regarding camshafts. Is there a higher lift - longer duration camshaft available ? The engine currently in my Coureége has had both the Intake channel job and a reground camshaft. It sounds very nice but the car is very far from drivable (understatement ) so I think I will put that engine in the running car. The intake channel job was done very seriously by the company ENEM in Sweden. http://www.enem.se/ They used a spare head and sliced it to see exactly where the channels could be opened up without damaging the head or valve stems. Camshaft is reground to a profile they use in a similar size Opel engine. Carburators left unchanged so far. |

Since the engine is the same as a Rallye II turning on the other way round, there are lots of camshaft profiles available. I use a Maxiroute that I have described somewhere here. I mesured the lift every 10 degrees The most powerfull Rallye : See here http://simca.rallye.free.fr/VOS_PHOTOS/photos%20course/marcel-morel/marcel_Morel.htm Has run in Inderstop and seems to beat everything |

Impressive to get more than 300 hp from such a small engine ![]() The race track is Scandinavian Raceway at Anderstorp http://www.scandinavianraceway.info/en/index.htm |
