I just bought a Matra register from the Swedish Road Administration. The register lists all Matras registred in Sweden today.
In total there are 171 Matras in Sweden ? 1 Djet, 3 530, 8 Murenas, 10 Espace, 46 Rancho and 103 Bagheeras.
For each car there is name and address of the owner, date of registration, date of purchase, type of body (sunroof or not), model year, chassis number, registration number, if the car is in traffic or not, and much more.
Other data is colour, tyre dimension, how many owners the car has had, the name of the three last owners, result of the latest vehicle inspection, and more.
The register comes as an Excel-file, easy to sort as you like.

Of the 103 swedish Bagheeras only 14 are in traffic.

It's a very good file you have. I don't know if it's possible to get the same for french cars but it could be good.
103 Bagh is an extraordinaire figure but if only 14 are in traffic it's poor...

I think bagh.be could be interested in this document to complete his own.

14 out of 103 still running ! To the contrary I wasn't expecting such an high survival rate.
If we apply this to the number of Bagheera produced, still 5- 7000 should be running.

A tenth of that figure must be more realistic, if not optimistic

There are a total of eight Murenas in Sweden. Four of them are in traffic.

It is possible to buy a search for any type of car and get the data I described earlier.

But it will cost you. A search costs ca ?168 plus ca ?0,25 for each hit. My search for Matra in Sweden gave 171 hits and cost me ca ?215.

When I register my car I'm gona try find out how many there are in Ireland. I'd love to know. Especially how many Series 1 Baghs there are. I've only ever seen Series 2's over here.

Hi Bob,
Welcome to the forum. Unfortunately I have not had the chance to come to Ireland for quite some time. My last visit was in 1990 but I guess Dublin is as nice now as it was then. Guiness is definately not the same thing outside Ireland.
I am sure that with a bit of help from people on this forum finding the necessary bits should not be impossible. Hopefully your chassie is in reasonably good condition. I have lots of bits and pieces and so does many other listers.

Last weekend I took my Bag to a Classic Car meeting outside Gothenburg in Sweden. I parked next to the Swedish DeLorean Society who celebrated their 20th anniversry. Of the eleven DeLoreans in Sweden, six showed up.
