Sujet du message:  Alternative for front brake pads

Hi,
I just learned that the Bagheera front brake pads are the same as Volvo 850 / V70 1992 - 2000 rear brake pads.
At least in Scandinavia these can be found almost anywhere.
Best regards,

Stig

Morning Stig,
Not yet I haven't but I'm still waiting on the new Cylinder to arrive from France.

I'd say fitting it wont be too hard but I'm not looking forward to bleeding the system. I've heard it's not easy.

Hi Bob,
Bleeding is a bit tricky. The traditional brake bleeding having a friend pushing the pedal while you operate the bleed valve did not work for me.
I have two options.
1. Use a bicycle pump the type with a short hose. Fill the pump with brake fluid and attach the hose to the slave cylinder (the one on the gearbox) bleed nipple. Open the bleed screw and slowly pump brake fluid into the system.
Check that you do not overfill the container as the spillage destroys the paint.
Close the bleed screw and test the clutch.
2. Get one of those brake fluid reservoir caps which can be connected to air pressure from either a compressor or even a tyre. Pressurize the reservoir and open the bleed screw on the slave cylinder.
Either option shpuld work fine. First method is what I used
Good luck,

Stig
