I have simca 1000 and want assemble engine 1294 84 hp from bagheera1.So I wonder what is the differents beetwen simca 1000 rally2 1294 82 hp and bagheera 1294 84 hp in mechanics. Is it only weber dcnf 36 and outtake system? And what can must be changed to putt 1294 from bagh. in simca 1000?Camshaft, timing cover, oilpump...other else?
I supose that all must be changed with parts of rally2 engine 82 hp...

Pepo,
The 2 engines are running in an opposite direction. And are not at the same angle. µ
In order to use a Bagheera engine in the 1000, you need to modify the cranksaft so that the oil holes departures are in the good direction.
You also need a specific camshaft (oposite than the Bag)
Since the angle of the engine is totaly different, you need the 1000 oil pan and then no water pump in the oil pan but an external one. The starter is on the other side of the engine. The plate to close the front of the engine is totaly different , different puley, ....
Of course a specific inlet manifold at the right angle, ...

The gearbox is in line with the engine
