Hi,I am from Croatia,student,love Matra cars... and thanks to take me IN,I cant get a validation for account long time...
I bought Bageera 1 week ago and have some questions about it...so help me...
Year 79',three colors I see,red then green and now yellow,maschine is working also as electric window.Interior is restyle once,all instruments are working,auto body dont have many rust...
and my problem is that I dont now what Bagheera I have...S or X,jubile or 80 or what...because car is repainted,and I dont see S on front of body.I have also radio,analog clock and no have rear winseld washer.
Where I can find a color code for bagheera.
I would restauriate matra in next few years so it must be original and because I need information about it...thanks.
How many Bag. are in the streets,driving in the world...who now...

This is a 1979 Bagheera.
Most probably a S as Viking said.
This because of the place and type of watch and also because I believe that a previous owner tried to do somethins similar to the original interior.
Seat fabric is very hard to find.

Ok it is S but where can I find color code for second generation bag. S
Can I paint bag. in this yellow or other yellow more darker to be original.
Body serial number is...42228AUT
Chassis serial number is...X6550 9X501603

Identification plate and body paint identification is missing.

The original color is not coded in the numbers.
The only thing I can tell you from the numbers is that the car was originaly exported to Austria.
In order to find the original color, try to find a place where it hasn't been repainted.
I can provide you all the colors names and references but the best is to get an example of what it's looking like.
For this, Aiemac ( member of this forum) is about to publish a little booklet with pictures of all the original colors + matching interior. This, year by year.

Depending on the delay you have before painting, I believe this is the best solution.
