Hi.
I wonder, what is the difference between simca 1308 GT engine 1442 ccm 85hp, and bagheera's engine 1442 85hp?
Is it gearbox the same?
Could the 1442 from 1308 be fitt on bagheeras gearbox?

bagheera have bridge 17x63 or 17x61 or 17x59
1307 have bridge 17 x63
1308 have bridge 17 x61

The pinion and the differential must match. If you change the ratio in the gearbox you must change the ratio in the differential. There are five different gearbox/differential combinations. The official Peugeot workshop manual identifies the markings on the end of the pinion and on the crownwheel:
no ring - 16 x 63
one ring - 16 x 65
two rings - 17 x 63
three rings - 17 x 61
four rings - 17 x 59
I have the 17 x 59 gearbox/differential in my Bagheera X 1980

I have two engine 1442 from 1308 so I will have some extra parts for bagheera...
I wonder, did 1442 from bagheera or 1308(or 1.6 from solara) can bi fitt with simca 1000 rally2 gearbox? Because it turns right, the same as 1294 from rally...
